Terms of use

The rules for listing a business, writing a review, and using this directory.

Last updated 9 September 2026

Using the site

By using TradePages you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, and the information you give us must be truthful.

What we are, and what we are not

TradePages is a directory. We are not a party to any agreement between you and a trade business, we do not perform building work, and we do not supervise, guarantee or insure it.

We do not sell leads or referrals, and no business can pay to rank higher. Contacting a business through this site puts you in touch with that business only.

If you list a business

You agree that:

  • You are authorised to represent the business, and its name, ABN, licence and insurance details are accurate and current.
  • Every completed job you record is real, the figures are accurate, and you have the customer's permission to give us their email address so we can ask them to confirm it.
  • You have the right to publish the photographs you upload, and you have the occupier's permission where a photograph shows the inside of someone's home.
  • You will not attempt to write, solicit, edit, suppress or trade reviews of your own business, and you will not offer anything of value in exchange for a review.

Jobs a customer has confirmed cannot be edited or deleted. They form part of a shared public record, and the figures on your profile are only worth anything because you cannot revise them after the fact.

If you write a review

You may review a business only where you were the customer on a job that you confirmed, and only once per job.

Your review must be your honest account of your own experience. Don't post anything false, anything you know to be misleading, other people's personal information, or content that is unlawful.

You keep ownership of what you write, and you give us permission to publish it on the site.

A review reflects one customer's experience. It is their opinion, not a statement of fact by us.

Reporting a review

A business that believes a review is false, defamatory or in breach of these terms can report it from its dashboard. A person will assess it.

A reported review is not automatically hidden. If it were, a complaint alone would be enough to remove criticism, which would make the reviews here worthless. We remove a review where we conclude it breaches these terms.

Accuracy of what you read here

Business details, licence numbers, insurance details and job figures are supplied by each business. We check an ABN against the Australian Business Register and check whether licence and insurance expiry dates have passed. We do not independently verify licences against state registers.

On-time rates and median costs are calculated only from jobs a customer confirmed, and are shown only once a business has at least 3 of them. They describe past jobs, and are not a prediction about yours.

Please check licences and insurance yourself with the relevant state authority before engaging anyone for significant work.

Suspending or removing listings

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaches these terms, including false job records, review manipulation, or misrepresenting a licence.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes any right or guarantee you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Beyond those rights, and to the extent the law allows, we provide the site as it is, and we are not liable for loss arising from your dealings with a business you found here, from inaccurate information supplied to us by a business, or from the site being unavailable.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
